Business School Pforzheim is one of three schools of Pforzheim University of Applied Sciences. The school is one of the biggest and most successful business schools in Germany – and the first and only business school in the German-speaking area to hold both the EFMD accreditation and the AACSB seal of excellence. The school has a strong focus on internationalization and corporate social responsibility and is located in the state of Baden-Wurttemberg in the south-west of Germany.

 

1. For our WINTER SEMESTER 2024/2025 our school is looking for faculty from our partner universities to teach as a visiting professor:

a) in our MBA International Management for lectures taught in English in the following subjects
(all of them 3 ECTS-Credits and 28-30 contact hours/subject)

b) in our bachelor in Media Management and Digital Media for one of the below mentioned electives taught in English

Teaching time Winter Semester: beginning of October 2024 until end of January 2025

2. For our SUMMER SEMESTER 2025 our school is looking for faculty from our partner universities to teach as a visiting professor

a) for Bachelor-level lectures taught in English in the following subjects:

• Fundamentals in Marketing Communications – lecture and case studies (5 ECTS-Credits, 56-60 contact hours in total)

• Digital Marketing (3 ECTS-Credits, 28-30 contact hours in total)

b) again in our bachelor in Media Management and Digital Media for one of the below mentioned electives taught in English (all of them 3 ECTS-Credits and 28-30 contact hours/elective):

• Digital Media (we are open here for the specializations of your faculty)

• Digital Media Management

• International Media Management

• Management of the Film Industry

3. For the SUMMER SEMESTER 2026 onwards our school is looking for faculty from our partner universities to teach as a visiting professor in our bachelor in Media Management and Digital Media taught in English

• Media Management – 5 ECTS-Credits, 43-45 contact hours

Teaching time summer semester 2026: mid-March 2026 until end of June 2026

Please note

• Teaching format: combination of (some) online sessions and (minimum 50%) teaching on campus

• 1 contact hour = 45 minutes teaching load

• 1 ECTS-Credit = 30h total student workload

Our package

• Compensation: currently €55/ contact hour

• Refund of accommodation: Pforzheim based IBIS style hotel – up to €95/night breakfast included; alternatively, Airbnb – both on mutual agreement with our school

• Refund of airfare: economy

• Shuttle service Frankfurt airport/Stuttgart Airport back and forth for overseas professors

• Public transport in Pforzheim (bus)

Your profile /applications

• Fluency in written and spoken English and the ability to teach and examine courses using English is a prerequisite.

• You should be either a native speaker or demonstrate command of English by an academic degree earned in a program taught in English.

• You obtained a Ph.D. / DBA or equivalent qualification.

• In your application, you are expected to outline in a short cover letter how your teaching and/or research aligns to the respective subject.

• Please also provide a CV with your academic and professional record, the subjects already taught and your publications.
